Hi, I’m Jennifer — Founder of Soma Magic Studio
I’m humbled you are here.

I’m a moon-gazing, chocolate-loving, free-spirited soul with a lifelong love for movement.

I discovered Somatics through a dear friend, and it truly changed my life. Almost 33 years ago, as a young girl, I was already drawn to how movement made my mind, body, and spirit feel — something in me knew this was my path. I trained as a professional dancer, singer, and actress, spending over 15 years in London’s West End and film industry.

While my love for the arts never faded, the pressures of the industry deeply affected my mind and body. I chose to step back from performing and opened Shields Academy and Agency, where for five years I supported young people from all backgrounds to build confidence, train professionally, and follow their creative dreams — while also learning about health and longevity, something I wish had been part of my own training.

My healing journey led me to discover the powerful role of the nervous system in recovery and wellbeing. The changes I experienced in my own body inspired me to train as a certified Living Somatics Movement Educator (LSME) under pioneers of Somatic Education, Gayatri Anderson BSc.Ed and Dr Brian Siddartha Ingle.

I truly believe our inner world creates our outer world. As I began to understand and regulate my own nervous system, the ripple effects in my life were extraordinary.

Today, I live on the beautiful island of Mother Crete, sharing these practices with an international community, while continuing my own very human journey of growth and self-discovery. I am deeply devoted to this work and to sharing it with others — to support more love, freedom, and authenticity in our lives, which is truly our birthright.

Whether through somatic movement or somatic-based singing and acting training, each session integrates nervous system education with gentle awareness practices to strengthen the mind-body-spirit connection. Nervous system regulation provides the foundation for sustainable wellbeing and authentic self-expression.

I’m currently expanding my learnings by training in Quantum Biology and Circadian Health, exploring how living in harmony with nature’s rhythms can further support healing and help us live in alignment with our true selves.
